Danish Pastries Are Kinda Cozy, Too. Don't You Wish You Had One?

Danes Have A Word For Physical Distancing & Hunkering Down – And It's As Cozy As A Danish Pastry

A year or so ago we ran across a comforting concept from Denmark where all the Danes live (except for Claire Danes, of course.)

The word is "hygge."  It's pronounced "hoo-gah" and, since English stems from some of the Scandinavian languages, scholars think that this word also made our very friendly English word:  "hug."

In Denmark, "hoo-gah" means something along the lines of "Staying at home and being cozy."
