For a very long time, the Copper River Native Association, which is only one of several locations in the Copper River Valley where you can get tested for Covid-19, listed that there were 'zero' positive cases that they'd found in their testing over a period of many weeks.

Then, suddenly, on June 26, there were two positive cases discovered by CRNA. One of them was discovered with a patient at the Tazlina Robert Marshall facility, and one of them was in Cantwell.

Now, just in the past week, the numbers of infected people in the Copper Valley has steadily begun to rise...

It's not clear from the outside how many people exactly have contracted the virus, but there's a very real, steady upward change as seen through CRNA's figures. The numbers have risen from two people, to seven people, to eight people...

The virus is definitely on the move. Today, the number of people that CRNA alone found to be sick with the deadly virus in our region now stands at ten.
