If You Applied For And Received An EIDL Loan
The SBA May Offer You A Larger 30 Year Loan
COUNTRY JOURNAL BUSINESS ALERT
Open that "Important Reminder About Your SBA Loan" email that's been coming into your mailbox again and again for the last two months. It may actually be from the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government, as the second part of its EIDL loan system, is sending prior EIDL recipients emails saying that they have to complete their SBA "Economic Injury" application – and if they haven't done so it will be withdrawn.
Check to see if the email comes from:
disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
The subject line should have your SBA Application EIDL number.
You can call the SBA number to verify.
The Legitimate Email Looks Like This:
A number of business may have ignored this email, which repeatedly pops up in mail boxes. It just doesn't look like a button you should push.
However, the Small Business Administration is offering very low interest 30 year loans for businesses that qualified for the original EIDL offer. Unlike the original EIDL, which won't have to be paid back, this offer is a 30 year loan. The 30 year loan has a very low interest rate and won't have to start being paid back until a year from now. You can accept all or part of the loan but you will have to follow the rules on what it can be spent for. You will also have to track how you spend the money and keep copies of the invoices which you pay with the loan.
