November Is A Dangerous Month As Rate Of Infection Rapidly Increases & Thanksgiving Arrives

On November 2nd, the Copper River Native Association reported 93 People in the Copper Valley had tested positive. But things have gotten much worse.

By November 20th, the case count had leaped to 142. This means that a third of all local cases occurred in only the past three weeks.

In Line With National Trends

In Washington State, positive cases have jumped from 1,039 on November 2nd to 6,277 on Monday, November 23rd.

To remind us all, COVID-19 has been around since March, when there were national cases, but none in the Copper Valley.

At this time, the Copper River region is advancing in case numbers at a far faster rate than either Valdez or Cordova.

Doctors and health professionals are asking the public not to increase America's hospitalization and death rates, avoiding Thanksgiving events outside their home.
