Administration of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine paused for national safety review
The one dose Johnson & Johnson ("J&J") COVID-19 vaccination was "paused" by the CDC on Tuesday, April 13th, after six people reported blood clot problems.
Almost 7 million doses of the J&J vaccine have already been administered in the U.S. and there have been six cases of blood clotting in women who had gotten the vaccine a short while before they developed problems.
It is unknown if the blood clotting is actually related to the J&J vaccine. However, there haven't been any issues with the Moderna and Pfizer vaccine. The Moderna vaccine is still available to anyone over 16 in the Copper Valley.
