COVID Cases Have Spiked In The Region

25 To 30 "Confirmed Cases" Says CRNA

Friday Afternoon, July 23rd News Alert:

On Friday Afternoon, July 23rd, CRNA — in coordination with Mount Sanford Tribal Consortium and Cross Road Health Ministries —issued an alert to Copper Valley residents that there has been a recent surge in positive COVID cases in the region.

CRNA wrote:

"There are approximately 25 to 30 confirmed cases throughout our region in the last 2 weeks.

CRNA’s Primary Care and Testing team has been working at full capacity to address testing needs.

COVID Cases Are Increasing Where Vaccination Rates Are Low

The news is not unexpected because it follows the pattern that has developed in parts of the rest of rural America. In areas of the United States where the percentages of people who have taken the vaccine are below 40% unvaccinated people, including teenagers are getting sick. These new cases of COVID are driven by the spread of the highly contagious Delta Variant.

See Country Journal Story about the Delta Variant here.

The full press release from CRNA is as follows:

In coordination with MSTC and Cross Roads Health Ministries, we can confirm a significant increase in COVID-19 cases in our region. There are approximately 25 to 30 confirmed cases throughout our region in the last 2 weeks.

CRNA’s Primary Care and Testing team has been working at full capacity to address testing needs. As of now, getting tested immediately is not the best strategy - it takes time for symptoms and testing conditions to develop.
