Noel Brooks, Of New York City, Won Salmon In Drawing

The Greater Copper Valley Chamber would like to thank all who participated in the Chamber's first annual raffle. The community organization held a drawing at the end of August. The winner won 20 lbs. of frozen salmon, delivered to their door.

The drawing's purpose was to raise money from tourists to help keep the Chamber's visitor center up and running. It was also a way of promoting the fact that this is "Copper River Country" – home of the world's richest and most desirable wild salmon.

Noel Brooks' name was drawn for this summer's salmon raffle. He won 20 lbs. of flash-frozen Copper River red salmon filets, which will be express-mailed to his home in New York City as part of his prize.

The Chamber would like to thank Easy Freeze fish processing company of Valdez for its assistance.

The Chamber Visitor Center at the Hub has continued operating 7 days a week, all summer long, in spite of difficult circumstances, thanks to the community's overwhelming support.
