The road to Lake Louse, affected by sudden snow melt and rising water, was closed May 20th. The culvert at Mile 16 on Lake Louse Road gave way. There was extreme flooding, along with a squirting geyser and road erosion, reported KTUU.

Local resident Ken Soldin told KTUU that two more culverts were installed, and that although the road has "stabilized" on Friday, the water was still rising.
