Third School Snow Day In Anchorage, As City Struggles To Keep Up

Slippery Roads, Plowing Difficulties Keep Anchorage Schools Closed A Third Day 

Although school buses in the Mat-Su Borough were running on Friday, December 9th, schools remained closed in Anchorage on Friday. 

It was the third day in a row, after record snowfall. The Anchorage School District said it was unsafe for buses, and for children walking to school, after up to 2 feet of snow fell on the town. 

They said school would start again on Monday.
