On September 26, 2026, at approximately 1826 hours, Alaska State Troopers responded to Mile 181 of the Glenn Highway for a requested welfare check. Based on the totality of the circumstances, Troopers forced entry into the residence and located an elderly male deceased inside. The death appeared consistent with natural causes, and no foul play is suspected. The State Medical Examiner has released the body. AST is currently attempting to locate the decedent’s next of kin.
