Copper Valley Highways  Fair All Roads are showing problems from the ice buildup that occurred earlier in the winter.
The ice buildup on the highways is making for rough driving, long stopping distances and slippery roads. Another problem is that deep snows are driving moose onto roadways. The best advice is to drive a little slower.

When even the lows (1021mb) are high you can be pretty sure the skies will be clear. It doesn't take more than a five MPH north wind to feel pretty bad in this weather. Watch your cheeks, nose and ears for frostbite.

Travel Safe

It's always an emergency when your car breaks down in the winter but it is doubly dangerous when the wind is blowing and it is very cold. Don't travel if you don't have to. Wear a hat and gloves. Take a charged headlamp. Be sure to have an emergency kit in your car with blankets, energy bars and emergency winter clothing for every member of your family in case your car does break down or slides off the road.
