WORK BEGINS
Gulkana River Boat Launch Project Due To End In November
New Boat Ramp Underway At Gulkana RiverOfficial Description of Project From DOT
Project Description and Location
Construct a multi-purpose facility to serve the existing unimproved boat launch site at the Gulkana River Bridge near MP 127 on the Richardson Highway. Work includes construction of new wayside areas and access roads.
Location of project (Photo & graphic, DOT)
General Expected Traffic Impacts
Traffic impacts should be minimal, for haul units entering and leaving the project site, and for the construction of a new approach. There may be restrictions and delays accessing the existing unimproved shoreline boat launch; we are investigating if construction can be sequenced to avoid high use times.
Project Timeline
Mid-summer - November 2021
