On 9-1-2021, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers contacted John Paoletti, age 60 of Wasilla, after investigation revealed he had taken a grizzly bear cub in an area off the Denali Highway near Glennallen. 

Paoletti was issued a summons into Glennallen District Court and the bear cub hide and skull were seized as evidence.
