On 11/05/2022 at approximately 2328 hours, AST conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at mile 1315 of the Alaska Highway for failing to stop at a stop sign and speeding. During the stop, investigation revealed the driver, Tina Sakurada of Mentasta, was driving while under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Tina was arrested and charged with DUI and transported to Tok AST Post.
