Caribou Hotel Burns To The Ground  

Devastating Loss 

The Caribou Was The Only Major Year-Round Hotel In The Copper River Valley

The Caribou Hotel in Glennallen is engulfed in flames and obviously impossible to salvage on the morning of November 12th. Cross Road Medical Center sent out the following on Facebook. Local comments on Facebook indicate the fire had not reached the restaurant, which is in a separate building.

FROM CROSS ROAD FACEBOOK SITE… The Caribou Hotel is completely engulfed. Please keep everyone in your prayers. EMS confirmed that everyone got out safely.
