Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve Announces 2026 Summer Visitor Center Hours
Release Date: April 28, 2026COPPER CENTER, Alaska – National Park Service officials at Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve have announced visitor center operating hours for the summer 2026 season.Park visitor centers and ranger stations provide trip planning assistance, maps, exhibits, educational displays, passport stamp stations, bookstore items, and information about current park conditions.
2026 Operating Dates and HoursWrangell-St. Elias Visitor Center, Copper CenterMay 11 – September 20, open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Kennecott Visitor CenterMay 23 – September 13, open daily from 9 a.m. To 5 p.m.Slana Ranger StationMay 23 – September 20, open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.Chitina Ranger StationMay 31 – August 30, limited hoursVisitors are encouraged to stop at a park facility before beginning their trip to get the latest updates on road access, weather, safety information, and recreational opportunities.
