Former President Urges Supporters: Vaccine Is "Something That Works"

Donald Trump had an important message for his followers on Tuesday, March 16th:  Take the vaccine.

Trump told Fox News that he wants his voters to get vaccinated, even if they're doubtful and hesitant about the shots. "I would recommend it," he said. "And I would recommend it to a lot of people that don't want to get it."

He acknowledged that many of his voters have announced they don't want to be vaccinated. He said "A lot of those people...voted for me, frankly."

Although Trump said that people have their freedoms, nevertheless:  "It's a great vaccine. It's a safe vaccine, and it's something that works."

Both Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, had Covid-19 themselves this fall. They both took the vaccine before leaving the White House.

On February 28th, at the CPAC Conference,Trump also mentioned the need for vaccinations to stay safe. "Everybody. Go get your shot," he told his supporters last month.
