DOT Press Release, July 30th:

DENALI HIGHWAY MP 25, ROCK CREEK BRIDGE

  • Crews are working on setting forms, installing rebar, and pouring concrete for the new bridge structure.
  • Work will occur between 6:00am and 6:00pm.
  • The temporary bridge crossing is open and traffic has been transferred over.
  • Drivers should be aware of trucks crossing between MP 17 and 25.
  • Drivers should also be aware of heavy equipment activity.

McCARTHY ROAD MP 27, CHOKOSNA RIVER BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

  • Drivers should be aware of a ONE-LANE ROAD extending past the bridge.
  • Drivers should expect DELAYS of up to 20 minutes.
  • Drivers should also expect large trucks hauling material, heavy equipment, and reduced speeds in the area.

RICHARDSON HIGHWAY MP 159-167 RECONSTRUCTION

  • Drivers should expect flagging and PILOT CAR operations Monday through Saturday, from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
  • Beginning Monday, August 2, drivers should expect flagging and PILOT CAR operations 24 hours a day.
  • Drivers should be alert to a DETOUR ROUTE at MP 160.
  • Drivers should be aware of gravel road conditions from MP 159 to 162.

RICHARDSON HIGHWAY MP 138-148 REHABILITATION

  • Crews will be working 24 hours a day, Monday through Sunday.
  • Drivers should be aware of hauling trucks, pavement milling, and pipe installation crews.
  • Drivers should be alert to PILOT CAR operations and traffic diversions around pipe installations.

RICHARDSON HIGHWAY MP 82-97 RESURFACING

  • Through August 3, crews will be paving from MP 90 to 97.
  • Crews will be working from 6:00am to 9:00pm daily to remove pavement, grade, and prepare for paving.
  • Drivers should expect changing road surfaces, flagging, PILOT CAR operations, and DELAYS.
  • Drivers should be aware of pavement breaks, loose gravel, and dust.
  • Drivers should be alert to equipment, trucks entering and exiting the site, and workers on the roadway.
