Update 8/10/2021: The Alaska State Troopers are investigating the homicide of 67-year-old Anchorage resident Michael Lynn Teffeteller. His body was found near Tok on April 26, 2021. Text tips anonymously to 847411, Text AKtips followed by your tipOriginal: On 4/26/21 at approximately 0605 hours Fairbanks dispatch received a report of a freezer containing human remains in the woods near mile 112 of the Tok Cutoff. Tok-based Troopers responded to the scene and located a partially buried freezer approximately 100 feet into the woods from the road, it was determined there were human remains inside. Fairbanks GIU, Helo 2, Glennallen AST, and Tok DOT responded to assist. The freezer and remains were transported to the State Medical Examiner in Anchorage for examination and identification. The investigation is ongoing.
