For The Rest Of The Month - Mild Temperatures
"While we may get a bit of a cool-down briefly late this week and early next week (lows near -25 for Glennallen area), most of our forecast models indicate a continuation of mild temperatures (likely above normal) through the end of the month for the Copper Valley.
"For now, we're fairly confident that continued mild conditions are expected through at least the end of the month. Our broader scale weather pattern is usually on the order of 10 to 14 days, so we'll have a better indication of what the first half of February looks like in a week or so.
"Outside of this timeframe, our forecast models and what we analyze on a daily basis here at the weather forecast office don't typically go out that far."
For The Rest Of The Winter - Below Normal
"Those at the Climate Prediction Center look at weekly to seasonal weather more than we do, and make temperature and precipitation outlooks which you can find here: https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/.
"Their forecast is for leaning below normal (30-40% chance of below normal) for temperatures for February thru April."
