Stranded Dipnetters Self-Rescue, Say Troopers

On 07/17/2026 at approximately 1906 hours, Glennallen Troopers were dispatched to a search and rescue call. Individuals had become stranded after their boat became stuck on a sandbar on the Copper River while dip netting. Additional resources were contacted, and Troopers responded to the area. While en route, the individuals were able to self-rescue and returned safely to shore.
