A 95' long Manh Choh ore truck, in a parking lot in Delta Junction. The rigs weigh 160,000 lbs when loaded, operate 24 hours a day, and run in a fleet that makes 60 trips a day on average, hauling Canadian ore 250 miles over the Alaska, Richardson and Steele highways to the Canadian Fort Knox mill, according to the Manh Choh website. The gold ore is mined on land belonging to Tetlin Village, 10 miles south of Tok on the ALCAN. (Photo, Country Journal)
