On 08/21/2026 at approximately 1207 hours Alaska State Troopers received a report of vehicle being operated by an intoxicated driver.  AST and VPSO's located the vehicle and investigation revealed that the driver, Michael Demit age 45 of Tazlina, was driving while under the influence of alcohol and was in possession of a firearm inside the vehicle while impaired. Demit was placed under arrest for DUI and Misconduct Involving Weapons in the 4th degree.  Demit was transported to Glennallen AST post where he was held on a $500 bail per the statewide bail schedule until arraignment.
