Area schools are distributing computers known as Chromebooks to students. School will be resuming electronically after the extended spring break, in which schools were temporarily closed to the public and all facility use agreements were postponed indefinitely.
The Governor closed schools across Alaska until at least May 1st. On March 25th, the School District announced that for Glennallen students, they were distributing Chromebooks to five Glennallen-to-Copper Center locations for pickup on Friday, March 27th.
If you were not able to meet the school at one of those locations the school asked, on its website, www.crsd.us, for residents to call the school to set up a different arrangement.
Parents needed to sign a CRSD User agreement before the Chromebook was given out.
Central Distribution locations were:
Glennallen School Parking Lot 11:30-1:00
Gakona Hall Parking Lot 12:00-1:00
Gulkana Hall Parking Lot 1:30-2:30
Tazlina Hall Parking Lot 12:00-1:00
Kluti-Kaah Hall Parking Lot 1:30-2:30
Kenny Lake & Slana Students...
They'll be getting Chromebooks too.
Upstream Learning (Correspondence) Students
These students already have remote learning.
