Students In Copper Valley Schools To Receive Bag Lunches By Schoolbus

The Copper River School District is stepping up for its kids. School buses won't be picking up the students this spring. But buses will be delivering lunches to the kids who will be working on their studies with their chromebooks from home.

The nutritious sack lunches include a protein, vegetables, fruit, milk and a snack. 

Students going to Glennallen, Kenny Lake and Slana Schools will receive this food program, which also provides lunches to students in the existing correspondence study program, Upstream Learning. 

 Parents are asked to make sure their children are signed up for bus food delivery.

Mentasta Village School will also be providing lunches to students. Mentasta School is not a part of the Copper River School District – but is an Ahtna area village.
