NORTHERN REGION GUARDRAIL UPGRADES: GLENN HIGHWAY, RICHARDSON HIGHWAY, and TOK CUTOFF
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Crews are working on the Richardson Highway from MP 220 to 230.
- Drivers should expect flagging operations, traffic signals, and DELAYS up to 20 minutes.
PROJECT END RESULT
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Qayaq Construction, is working to replace and extend guardrail to improve user safety in three areas in the Northern Region. These areas include the Richardson Highway from MP 0 to 264, the Glenn Highway from 118 to 138, and Tok Cutoff from MP 0 to 124. This project is expected to be completed in October 2022.

RICHARDSON HIGHWAY BEAR CREEK EMERGENCY REPAIRS
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Be alert to flagging and PILOT CAR operations on the Richardson Highway between MP 218 and 227.
- Be aware of equipment on the shoulders and crews working from MP 208 to 212 and from MP 227 to 234.
- Crews are working from 6:00am to 8:00pm, daily.
PROJECT END RESULT
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Great Northwest, Inc. and QAP, is working to repair road and bridge damage due to flooding along the Richardson Hwy.
