Announces October 3-4 Meeting

National Park Calls October 3rd-4th, 2022,  Subsistence Meeting On Hunting & Fishing 

 


COPPER CENTER, AK – The Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Subsistence Resource Commission will meet by teleconference on Monday, October 3, and Tuesday, October 4, 2022, to consider a range of issues related to subsistence hunting and fishing in the park. These are the alternate meeting dates published in the Federal Register. 

 

Commission business will include the opportunity to comment on proposals to change federal subsistence fishing regulations and revisions to the park’s policy on subsistence log harvests. Additionally, a variety of reports will be presented. The teleconference is open to the public, and public testimony opportunities are provided. Members of the public are encouraged to participate. Written comments may also be emailed to WRST_subsistence@nps.gov by 4 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2022, for presentation during the meeting.  

 

On October 3, the meeting will start at 9 AM and recess for the day at 5 PM or upon completion of business. On October 4, the meeting will start at 9 AM and continue until business is completed. If business is completed on October 3, 2022, the meeting will adjourn, and no meeting will take place on October 4, 2022.  To participate in the teleconference, dial toll-free 1-866-810-1272 and when prompted enter the passcode: 5366629#
