It is not too late to get vaccines.
The number of Covid cases across Alaska is increasing in January 2024 while flu cases decline and RSV cases remain a problem.

Physicians around America say that a new Covid virus strain (JN.1) is attacking Americans at a rate they haven't seen since Omicron. At the same time, influenza, RSV (which targets both the very young and the elderly) and other respiratory ailments are making a strong comeback -- all at once.

Because state and local governments don't  keep track of incidents of Covid anymore the tracking system now in use tends to revolve around checking sewers in urban areas for Covid signs in human sewage. expelled from the bodies of sick people.

"Wastewater" from city toilets is monitored for the Covid virus, and the wastewater has been delivering record high figures.

Covid is not as lethal as it was, though many physicians are concerned about what is known as "long" Covid -- which can damage parts of the body and bodily functions for months after an infection.
