More People Got Sick In January, 2024  

Says Alaska Department of Health 

Despite a lack of a rigorous reporting system, the "lab-confirmed" cases of major respiratory diseases in Alaska has climbed to a high point.  

Cases leveled off throughout January.Yet the number of Covid cases (the blue bar)  in January is the highest in months. 

Together, combined flu, RSV and Covid cases are higher now than any week since the first week of November. See Chart:
