Local people will show you actual pots, pans, bullets, crampons, and many other items retrieved from the 1898 Gold Rush into the Copper Valley.

There are many artifacts, photos, telegrams, and real newspapers from the Copper Valley. There's even a heavy stone axe-grinder that was hauled over the glaciers by a miner.

The average miner hauled u p to 2,000 lbs. of goods – not counting big pieces of stone. (Photo, Country Journal)

If you live here and haven't been in to the museum recently, take a few hours to review the Copper Valley's rich history.

The museum is open through Labor Day, 7 days a week, from 10 am to 3 pm most days, with Sundays open 1 to 3 pm.
