Early Morning Shooting At Palmer Gas Station 

Palmer Police Press Release:

On September 2, 2024, approximately 0040 hours, Palmer Police were notified of 911 calls reporting shots fired at the Speedway Express Gas Station, located at 400 W. Glacier View Avenue in Palmer. Officers arriving on scene located a single male deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.

During the investigation, a suspect was developed and led officers to contact Isaac D. Beshaw, age 22 of Palmer. Probable cause was developed to support arresting Isaac for Murder in the 1st Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence. He was remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial and held without bail per the bail schedule. Police believe this was an isolated incident and there is no further threat to the public.

The victim was identified as Steven L.Williams, age 22 of Palmer. Next of kin was notified. The body was transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy.

The Palmer Police Department would like to extend our gratitude to the Alaska State Troopers and Wasilla Police Department who immediately responded to assist with the investigation.
