Glennallen students asked the candidates a series of questions about how they would work to improve life, education, emergency service care, the high cost of energy and fuel as well as how they would support subsistence hunting and fishing in the large rural district the seats cover.
They were also asked what their funding priorities were and how they would vote on the two ballot measures on this year's ballot.
While the Glennallen students on stage asked the questions, students in the audience acted as timers and held up signs announcing time left to the candidates.
Moderator Nathan Helmer kept strict control of the event, making sure the candidates kept their answers brief and to the point. (Photo, Country Journal) |
