It Was A Nail-Biter Whether EMS Would Continue In Delta

The Delta Junction City Council has agreed to foot the bill on EMS service in the Delta region for another year, reports the Delta Wind.

The city will work with Delta Medical Trnsport and Rural Alaska Emergency Services.

Delta Medical Transport is the same organization that worked in the Copper Valley providing ambulance service. It has since been replaced by Copper River EMS.

The Rural Alaska Emergency Services is a non-profit.

Rural ambulance and medical services throughout America have come under fire in recent years, including in the Copper River Valley.
