This One Targets Ticks & Mosquitoes In The Nation's Capital

The White House has issued quite a few executive orders lately.

The most recent one zeroes in on ticks – which are on the rise on the East Coast and cause the dreaded Lyme disease – and mosquitoes, which are common world-wide.

Alaska does have some ticks, which affect moose in the winter, but disease-carrying ticks are not common to the state, though people who go Outside sometimes bring them back accidentally.

Mosquitoes in Alaska are a different matter. They are so plentiful and so annoying that Alaskans call the mosquito "The State Bird."
