Copper River EMS Quarterly Update

100% Local EMS:

Local Volunteers and Local Lead Medics!

Copper River EMS has now fulfilled its vision of a 100% local ambulance service comprised of both local volunteer responders and local Full-Time paid lead medics.

Having full-time Lead Medics who are also full-time local residents has many significant benefits such as local knowledge, vested interests, and meaningful contributions outside of their on-call medic shifts.

Carol Monk is a Paramedic who lives in Glennallen on a small farmstead with her husband.  While working at CRNA and volunteering with CREMS, Carol earned her EMT, EMT-2 and then Paramedic licenses with the help of the SAMHSA Rural EMS Training Grant. Carol is on-call 24/7 for 7 out of every 15 day cycle and also coordinates maintenance and upkeep of our ambulances and medical equipment.

Natalie George is a Paramedic who lives in Kenny Lake with her husband and 3 children. Natalie brings extensive experience as a paramedic having worked in Texas, the Mat-Su Borough, and as a flight medic with LifeMed Alaska.  Natalie will be covering 4 x 24/7 on-call shifts as lead medic every 15 day cycle and will also serve as our Lead Instructor.

Savannah-Marie Gregory moved to Tazlina with her family when she was eleven years old. She recently worked at CRNA  for several years and has been a consistent volunteer with CREMS.  Savannah is an Advanced EMT and will also cover 4 x 24/7 on call shifts every 15 day cycle while she continues her role as the CREMS Administrator.
