Jim Pinneo was a well-known fixture in the Copper Valley. He was the region's primary doctor, even during the hectic, impossible days when the Pipeline swept through the valley, multiplying the region's population 5 times – to at least 10,000 people. During those days, Cross Road Medical Center was known as Faith Hospital.

'Dr. Jim' did it all. He delivered babies, took care of major medical problems, and assisted with Medevacs.

Doug is affiliated with KCAM Radio, and was the son-in-law of James & Lois Pinneo.

You can find Doug's book on Amazon. It’s called On Call in a Wild Alaska.
