Update: As of 11:03 am, the highway is now open in both directions.  


On June 28, at 8:36 am, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a motor vehicle crash at milepost 210 of the Richardson Highway. Troopers responded and found a single vehicle crash, with the adult male driver in critical condition and the vehicle on fire. The driver has been transported to a local area hospital. The cause of the crash is under investigation. The highway is currently closed in both directions.
