Yup. Now THAT's not "social distancing!" (Journal file photo)

The decades-old World Championship Fur Rendezvous Sled Dog Race won't be held this winter during Fur Rondy.  Race organizers decided to scratch the race due to the problems of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Running of the Reindeer, a more recent-developed popular event, also won't be held. The 2021 Fur Rondy Festival, in a somewhat abbreviated form, will still be held from February 22nd to March 6th, 2021. There will be other events -- not just ones that attract all those crowds.
