The Next Day, Troopers Say He Assaulted Trooper

On 05/21/2022 at approximately 1535 hours, Troopers in Glennallen were waved down in the parking lot of the Hub Gas Station for a male who was highly intoxicated, partially clothed and had fallen multiple times.
 
The male was identified as Frank Vaughan, age 67 of Oklahoma. Vaughan was arrested for DUI the night prior and was on conditions of release to not consume alcohol. Vaughan was arrested for violating his conditions.
 
Once in custody, Frank became belligerent by yelling, smearing his blood on the walls and trying to harm himself by banging his head against the walls. Troopers attempted to prevent Vaughan from further harming himself when he assaulted one of the troopers. Vaughan was remanded to MAT-SU Pretrial pending his arraignment for Violation of Conditions of Release, Disorderly Conduct, Assault 4th on LEO and Criminal Mischief 5th.

On 05/20/2022 at approximately 2344 hours, Troopers located a man urinating in the parking lot of the Hub Gas Station in Glennallen. The male was identified as Frank Vaughan, age 67 of Oklahoma. Investigation revealed Vaughan was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and failed field sobriety test's. 


Vaughan provided a breath sample of .141 BrAC and was released once he was sober with a date to appear in court.
