LAKE LOUISE ROAD RESURFACING
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Crews are working on Lake Louise Road from 6:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Saturday.
- Be alert to flagging and PILOT CAR operations.
- Crews are monitoring flooding conditions at MP 16.7.
PROJECT END RESULT
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Qayaq Construction, LLC, is working to resurface Lake Louise Road from MP 9 to 19. Project work includes minor leveling, grading, clearing, as well as drainage improvements.
Roadway remains open but restricted to one lane traffic where the culvert has been installed . The roadway will remain open but restricted to one lane.

RICHARDSON HIGHWAY, MP 138 to 148 REHABILITATION
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Beginning Wednesday, June 15, through approximately Wednesday, June 29, crews will be performing sealing operations.
- Be alert to crews working along the Richardson Highway from MP 138-149 from 6am to 6pm. 7 days a week.
- Drivers should be aware of gravel surface.
Chip seal operation is scheduled to begin mid June and will last approximately 2 weeks.
PROJECT END RESULT
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Qayaq Construction, LLC, is working to rehabilitate the Richardson Highway from MP 138 to 148. This project is expected to be complete in Spring 2022.

NORTHERN REGION GUARDRAIL UPGRADES: GLENN HIGHWAY, RICHARDSON HIGHWAY, and TOK CUTOFF
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Crews are working along the Glenn Highway.
- Expected to begin Thursday, June 9, crews will be moving work to the Tok Cutoff between MP 1 and 35.
- Drivers should expect flagging operations, traffic signals, and DELAYS of up to 20 minutes.
PROJECT END RESULT
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Qayaq Construction, is working to replace and extend guardrail to improve user safety in three areas in the Northern Region. These areas include the Richardson Highway from MP 0 to 264, the Glenn Highway from 118 to 138, and Tok Cutoff from MP 0 to 124. This project is expected to be completed in October 2022.

RICHARDSON HIGHWAY, MP 159 to 167 RECONSTRUCTION
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Crews are working during the day Monday through Saturday.
- Drivers should expect flagging and PILOT CAR operations 24 hours a day, Monday through Saturday.
PROJECT END RESULT
The Alaska Department of Transportation is working to reconstruct the Richardson Highway between MP 159 to 167, as well as construct Haggard Creek Bridge #0576.

MCCARTHY ROAD, MP 27 CHOKOSNA RIVER BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Be alert to crews working on the bridge.
- Drivers should expect minor DELAYS.
PROJECT END RESULT
The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with HC Contractors, is working to construct a new bridge over the Chokosna River and a new road alignment to access the bridge.
