Dispatch Text:
On 6-9-22 at approximately 2153 hours Alaska State Troopers received multiple REDDI reports regarding a brown, 2015 Ford Explorer which had nearly caused several head on collisions, near mile 120 of the Tok Cutoff. AST responded and located the vehicle, stopped in the northbound lane of the Tok Cutoff, facing southbound.
The driver, who was later identified as Sean M. Burke (age 33 from Tok), was unconscious and unresponsive behind the wheel, with his foot on the brake, and the vehicle's transmission was still in drive. Troopers were able to make entry into the vehicle, placing the transmission in park, and waking Burke.
Investigation revealed that Burke had been operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, with a revoked license, and while on conditions of release for a prior DUI. Burke also had several firearms in the vehicle while he was intoxicated. Burke was arrested for DUI, MIW 4, DWLR, and VCOR. Burke was transported to FCC where he was remanded.
