RICHARDSON HIGHWAY BEAR CREEK EMERGENCY REPAIRS 

24-hour Pilot Car between MP 218 and 234 Richardson Highway 

  • Be alert to flagging and 24-hour PILOT CAR operations on the Richarson Highway between MP 218 and 234.
  • Be aware of equipment on the shoulders and crews working from MP 208 to 212.

PROJECT END RESULT

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Great Northwest, Inc. and QAP, is working to repair road and bridge damage due to flooding along the Richardson Hwy.

RICHARDSON HIGHWAY, MP 159 to 167 RECONSTRUCTION

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 

  • Crews are working during the day Monday through Saturday. 
  • Drivers should expect flagging and PILOT CAR operations 24 hours a day, Monday through Saturday. 
  • Crews will be performing paving operations. Drivers should expect DELAYS up to 20 minutes. 

PROJECT END RESULT 

The Alaska Department of Transportation is working to reconstruct the Richardson Highway between MP 159 to 167, as well as construct Haggard Creek Bridge #0576.

RICHARDSON HIGHWAY, MP 138 to 148 REHABILITATION

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 

  • Work on this project is almost complete.
  • Be alert to intermittent shoulder work on the Richardson Highway from MP 138 to 148.

PROJECT END RESULT 

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Qayaq Construction, LLC, is working to rehabilitate the Richardson Highway from MP 138 to 148. This project is expected to be complete in Spring 2022. 


LAKE LOUISE ROAD RESURFACING

 WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 

  • Crews are working on Lake Louise Road from 6:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Saturday.  
  • Be alert to flagging and PILOT CAR operations. 
  • Chipping is scheduled for the second week of August.

PROJECT END RESULT 

The Alaska Department of Transportation, in cooperation with Qayaq Construction, LLC, is working to resurface Lake Louise Road from MP 9 to 19. Project work includes minor leveling, grading, clearing, as well as drainage improvements. 

Roadway remains open but restricted to one lane traffic where the culvert has been installed . The roadway will remain open but restricted to one lane.
