Driving The Highways To Get To A Hospital: How Long Is The Trip From The Copper Valley?

It's important that local people understand the options they have when there's a medical problem or accident. At this time, both Cross Road and CRNA are open only during the work day, 5 days a week. 

Currently, during after hours and on weekends, here are the options:

Dial 911 for ambulance care. You can also drive to the nearest 24-hour hospitals. They are in Mat-Su and Valdez. In grave emergencies, medevacs are available. Ask 911. 

Cross Road and CRNA say they're working on trying to reinstate 24-hour and ambulance services.

Local People Are Driving Family Members To Valdez & Mat-Su Regional For Medical Help 

Families have had to drive to Valdez and Palmer. Both Cross Road and CRNA are closed round-the-clock on weekends, and 16 hours every weekday. 

Be sure to check DOT's 511 before setting out for weather conditions or hazards.
