BLM Again Surrounded By Flowing River Of Moose Creek Floodwaters

BLM COMPOUND, FRIDAY, JUNE 2ND, 2023 (ALL PHOTOS, COUNTRY JOURNAL)

Government Buildings Are Damaged
All Utilities Are Down

NOTICE FROM BLM
Friday, June 2nd, 2023

The flooding is back to the same level it was a couple of weeks ago, effectively wiping out any sort of progress that was made. All buildings within the complex are damaged to some extent and will require remediation. There is no electricity, sewage, or water on site. An optimistic timeline for their return would be 1-2 weeks.

The public should call the GFO phone number, 907-822-3217 with any questions. Any media contacts can reach out to myself for follow up (number listed in my signature below).

Please understand that basic office functionality, such as printing and faxing, is disrupted. We’re using workarounds, but there will be significant delay. Thank you to the community for understanding and the ongoing support. Hope everyone is staying safe!
