Joseph was entered in 3 events. He made a personal record in all 3 events. He took second in state in the scissor broad jump. That event was so close mom and I couldn't tell who won until the measurements were announced.

He defended his State Title in the Alaskan High Kick as Alaska's first junior male athlete to go vertical, only this year he kicked even 6" higher! He closed out the day winning another State Championship, this time in the One Foot High Kick.

It was an especially high competition this year. The skill level was so intense, that after the finals, the competition was extended for a kick-off between 2 athletes for first place. Joseph kicked 81" which earned him first place by 1"!

On another note, NYO Games Alaska Facebook page posted some photos and reels of him. The reel of his Alaskan High Kick has gone viral and has had over 2 million views.
