16-Year Old Boy Charged With Killing Two, Wounding Two Others, Say Borough Police
North Slope Borough Police are charging a 16-year old, Guy Nashookpuk, with two counts of first-degree murder, and also attempted murder.
On 11:30 pm Sunday, according to reports, police went to a reported shooting in Point Hope, and found a man and woman dead and two other men severely wounded.
The boy was brought to the police station ten minutes later by his father, according to court documents obtained by various news organizations in Anchorage. On Tuesday, he pleaded not guilty.
The names of the victims, the purported reason for the incident, and other pertinent information has not been revealed by the Borough Police.

Alaska State Troopers are not involved. John Dougherty, information officer of the Department of Public Safety told the Journal on Tuesday, February 27th: "The Alaska State Troopers have not been asked to assist at this point."
Point Hope is a very isolated community on the northwest coast of Alaska.
