Medevac Plane Lands On Highway At Western Ahtna Village Of Cantwell To Evacuate Hurt Child

On 5-28-22 at approximately 2019 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a child that had been struck by a car on private property near mile 214 of the Parks Highway.  Cantwell EMS responded and transported the child to the Cantwell Airfield located at 201 of the Parks Hwy.  Due to runway conditions, the plane landed on the Parks Hwy and transported the child to Anchorage for treatment.  No foul play is suspected.
