On 9/7/22, Shawn Naber, age 40 of Anchorage, was contacted by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers conducting an enforcement patrol in the Wrangell Mountains. Naber was cited for taking a sub-legal Dall Sheep and the horns, meat, and cape were seized. Arraignment is set for 10/4/22 in Glennallen Court.

On 7/26/23, the above named defendant pled guilty in Glennallen Court to the charges listed as part of a plea agreement. He was ordered to pay $1600 in fines and restitution and the horns, meat, and cape of the unlawfully taken ram were forfeited to the State.
