Fire Spread From An Abandoned Campfire 

HIGH WINDS PERSIST THROUGH JULY 7TH 

The State of Alaska says that an abandoned campfire at Sailors Pit was found by DNR. It had "spread to the wildland" according to the state. 

The fire was contained, controlled and extinguished, they said.
