Two Females And One Male Mosquito Found 20 Miles North Of Reykjavik, Iceland's Capital

A gardener in Iceland has found three mosquitoes in a moth trap near his plants in Iceland, that country's newspapers are reporting.

This is big news. Biologists believe that the bugs may have come to Iceland by container ships. They'll be checking if more are in Iceland in the springtime.

Iceland and Antarctica have been the only major land masses in the world without mosquitoes – which are  known in Alaska as the state's "unofficial bird."
